The directors of KGA are frequently called upon to undertake share or business valuations for a variety of purposes. The circumstances under which a share or business valuation can be required include:
-
Relationship property dispute
-
Transfer to a Family trust
-
Shareholder dispute
-
Exiting or incoming shareholder/partner
We accept many instructions each year from the business community, lawyers and barristers to carry out valuations encompassing one or more of the above areas. The valuation assignments we undertake are only carried out in those circumstances where we have the appropriate industry knowledge, are independent of the parties involved and in accordance with the specific requirements of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Keith Goodall has for many years appeared as an expert witness in court in respect of share or business valuation disagreements or disputes. Keith also acts as a director of a number of companies and with his forensic accounting experience is able to bring a very experienced perspective to the valuation process.
